Cosmetic Organizing "Kardashian Style"

Okay ladies here is the scoop. Cosmetic organizing is something you don't realize you need until you visit someones house and your mouth drops and your just like what do I have to do to make this happen.

#1 This loathed organizer is the "Kardashian" organizer on the left. All of my clients are like I need that where do I get it? Now that it is in such high demand it is kinda pricey. But totally worth it.

#2 Brush holders is a must. Let's face it ladies we love making our girlfriends secretly jealous and if everyone had a cosmetic boutique at their house no one would leave. True!!
#3 The classic organizer. Just a basic organizer. A lot of these organizers you can find in the office supply section like Walmart, Target etc. Sometimes you pay a little more just because it says for cosmetics. When in all actuality it's a paper clip organizer. lol. Just saying.

Sexy Valentines Day Makeup!

Okay Ladies, lets talk about Valentines day makeup for 2012. This year less is more. Trending right now is more natural makeup with a soft natural nude to nothing eye. It's great to be creative and have all these crazy colors on our eyes but I think we need to save all the special effects for Halloween. Besides our men don't care how well we blend our eye shadow.

Concentrate on your skin and get a facial so your makeup glides on nice and smooth. Make sure it a good match for your skin color. Having a foundation that's off in color can totally throw off this look. I always recommend to have at least three different colors of foundation to use through out the year.  Also never forget your eyebrow maintenance to polish your look. You want to look just as good with your makeup on as your look with it off. Visit MAC to find your Perfect shade foundation and lipstick.

Best Self Tanner

I don't know about you but I'm getting really sick of winter. I feel white, pasty....and just plan washed out. I came across this totally amazing spray tan by So Bronze. I have tried at home spray tans in the past and while the color of one in particular was nice it was SO messy. I mean stain your ceiling and wall's kind of messy. This other unnamed spray tan (*cough* it has the word love in it) would spray out streaky and I'd have to use my hands to even it out. So Bronze is seriously SO easy especially for the face and neck. It takes me 20 seconds of going in a back and forth motion and volia...healthy, glowy, bronzed skin! The color that comes out looks like a natural color tan and not at all orange. This is really a no fuss no muss tanner. It's quick and easy and you don't have to use your hands!

When you first spray it you will see a slight color but the color will deepen in 4-6 hours. I recommend spraying it on at night and taking a shower in the morning. When you wake up you will have a nice warm looking tan. This tanner dries in 2-3 minutes... which is not bad in my opinion. This spray tan does have a scent but it's not one of those gross tanning scents. It smells pretty nice. I would have to say it lasts 5-7 days on the body but I like to refresh my face and neck every 3-4 days.

Like with ANY self tanner exfoliating is a must! If you don't exfoliate your arms or body then you will have dry patchy tanned skin. That's what happened to me the first time on my arms. That was my fault though because I didn't get off my dead/dry skin.
(SO BRONZE Skin-healthy ingredients include aloe vera, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E.)

Recommended application technique:

#1 Exfoliate in the shower with a scrub and get rid of all that dead skin.
#2 Moisturize from head to toe.
#3  Put a towel on the floor and spray all over in up and down strokes. (If you have someone to help that's a plus.)
#4 Let dry for 5 minutes then reapply.
#5 A fabulous tan in 3 hours. This is great for last minute events. MUST HAVE!!

FAB Spring Makeup Trends 2012

Okay for this spring makeup trends...we are going to be seeing a lot of full lips. People seem to be spending a lot more time and money on their skin, treatments such as peels and skin resurfacing. Also fake lashes have been big for a few years now and people have been more open to wearing them everyday which is fantastic because I love falsies. Last of all ladies BROWS, BROWS AND BROWS!!! People have been really on their A game when it comes to eyebrows. A fierce brow really frames the face and can help bring out your best features.

Makeup tips for Winter

The key to successful application of winter make up is keeping in mind the harshness of winter weather and the wearing of traditionally darker clothes. Unlike summer with its light clothing and sunny humid days, winter is composed of dry days and warm clothing. Winter make up should accommodate the weather and reflect the heavier clothing and darker colors. That means you put away the light foundations and summery eye colors and bring out the oil based moisturizers, protective foundations and matte eye shadows in fall and winter colors like grey and brown.Winter make up should begin with an oil based day moisturizer which prevents skin from drying out due to the low humidity and cold. At night, it’s important to use a heavier moisturizer with essential vitamins and other skin rejuvenating ingredients immediately after the shower in order to seal in moisture. When you choose a foundation for winter, the matte finishes are more appropriate than shiny bright finishes. The eye shadow colors should reflect the colors in your winter clothing to create a unified and polished look. In addition, puffiness under the eyes which is common in the winter can be downplayed through skillful use of very pale yellow under eye cream. It’s typical for people to have paler skin in the winter than they do in the summer. Winter make up should be applied in a way that adds color and vitality to your skin tone. In the summer the face is rosier due to sun exposure with its dose of Vitamin D. In the winter, the lack of sun means winter make up should include a light tint that matches skin tone without being obvious. The basic foundation should be one shade lighter in order to make the skin look brighter. These are just a few tips for the application of winter make up that can make your skin look healthy and glowing despite the darker colder weather.

Hot Holiday Makeup!

Spice It Up
Want to break out of the same old beauty routine but not sure where to begin? The holidays, that time of year famous for festive fetes, friendly gatherings, and raised spirits, are the perfect time to experiment and try out new things: a different color on your lips, a new look on the eyes. But how do you sort through the makeup choices out there? Should you accent only one feature, or play up eyes and lips in one look?To keep it simple, I've recommended three makeup looks to try this season -- and the easiest ways to wear them. The whole idea is balance. Your face has basically three areas to emphasize: eyes, lips, and cheeks. You never want to be full tilt in all three areas at once.In general, when you wear a strong lip color, it's best to keep the rest of the face soft. Strong mouth, soft eye. Strong eye, soft mouth. One of the looks I love is color on the lips and cheeks with a barely-there shimmer on the eyes.Remember, though, no matter what you do, have fun. Break the rules! The season is busy enough without having to worry about your makeup.
